Fedrigoni 365

Last night saw the launch of the 2019 Fedrigoni 365 Calendar, which we are excited to have been included in. We went along to the exhibition in East London to see our design in all its glory and get a sneak peek at the other entries. It was a busy night with the best and brightest in the industry coming together to celebrate this collaborative project.

Fedrigoni 365 is an unprecedented collaboration involving 365 designers, illustrators and photographers from throughout the UK, gathered together by an open call for entries.

For the 2019 edition each design was printed on one of ten white sheets from Fedrigoni’s expansive collection of papers. Each date has a spread of its own, giving the designs space to breathe, and the book itself an imposing size. The resulting white tome is both a source of historic facts and a thing of real beauty.

We were given the intriguing task of designing the 10th January, which at first glance seemed like quite an ordinary day. It turns out, however, that a surprising amount of things happened on this particular date over the years! Our chosen idea illustrated
the interesting fact that on this day in 1863 the London Underground opened.

A simplistic design using the shape of the Underground logo to depict the number 10 seemed like the perfect representation of our selected date and this historic event.
